Alumni Golf Outing

Now in its 23rd year, the Mercyhurst University Alumni Golf Outing will be held Friday, Sept. 29, 2017, once again at beautiful Lake View Country Club in North East, Pa. The tournament is a 4-person scramble format, and proceeds from this outing benefit the James R. McKeever Scholarship Fund. The outing is the official launch of Homecoming Weekend, held this year from Sept. 29 – Oct. 1, 2017.

About Jim McKeever & the James R. McKeever Scholarship Fund

Jim McKeever graduated from Mercyhurst in 1989. He later came back to work at the school as an admissions officer. After his battle with cancer, “The Friends of Jim McKeever” began an annual alumni golf tournament in his memory. Today, the Mercyhurst University Alumni Association, in conjunction with alumni relations, coordinates the golf outing. All Mercyhurst alumni and their friends are invited to participate and net proceeds benefit the James R. McKeever Scholarship fund at Mercyhurst University. Through the support of past alumni, friends, and generous sponsors, the scholarship has provided $200,000 in financial aid assistance to students over the past 22 years.
