During the Board of Trustees meeting on Sept. 29, 2012, the trustees made history by formally approving the first strategic plan as Mercyhurst University. The plan focuses on the years 2013-2020, and was a document made possible by an incredible amount of community input. Over a year has gone into the crafting of this document, with community forums, surveys, review sessions, and hundreds of hours of writing, editing, and discussing.
The plan seeks to position Mercyhurst University in advance of a changing landscape of higher education. The plan attempts to identify key future impacts and describes how Mercyhurst will be prepared to address these circumstances. The plan seeks to position Mercyhurst as one of the higher education institutions that not only survives but also thrives. This document seeks to identify how Mercyhurst plans to move forward and its authors and the institution are eager to see its implementation unfold over the next several years.
